Designed for use with Kohler generator model 48RCL, this GM78529-KP1 engine block heater kit heats engine coolant, making starting easier and warmup quicker. The block heater turns on automatically when the coolant temperature drops to 38 degrees C (100 degrees F). The heater turns off when the coolant temperature reaches 49 degrees C (120 degrees F).
The Kohler 48RCL generator set engine comes equipped with valves that eliminate the need to drain the cooling system before installing the block heater.
