The Kohler GM57969-KP1 carburetor heater kit is recommended for improved cold starting in locations where the temperatures falls below 0 degrees C (32 degrees F). The carburetor heater also prevents condensation and carburetor icing.
The heater turns on when the temperature at the thermostat falls below approximately 4 degrees C (40 degrees F) and turns off when the temperature rises above approximately 16 degrees C (60 degrees F). Designed for 17 - 20 kW models, the easy-to-install carburetor heater fits into a threaded opening on the carburetor, below the engine air cleaner.
Note: The heater requires a continuous source of power. Plug the easy-to-install carburetor heater into a 120 VAC receptacle provided on the generator set.
